This is such a surprise to me
Sa last night I was watching The Daily 10 on E! and Catt announced that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have finally named their second daughter that was born last week. I just hope they didn't give the child some weird name like what Gwen and Ashlee did to their offsprings. Poor kids!
They announced that the name of the kid is Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.
I was surprised. At least thats what I assume I felt. Maybe it was more to shock. This is because whenever I'm creating a new character for my novel, I pick out their names according to their origin or I pick names that resemble their personality.
I stumbled upon the name Seraphina when I was searching a name for Tristan (he's in the 2nd book). Seraphina was categorized in the rare names category. But I fell in love with it because it had a beautiful meaning plus it sounded so angelic.
Seraphina
Feminine form of the Late Latin name Seraphinus, derived from the biblical word seraphim which was Hebrew in origin and meant "fiery ones". The seraphim were an order of angels, described by Isaiah in the Bible as having six wings each. This was the name of a 13th-century Italian saint who made clothes for the poor. As an English name, it has never been common
I'm planning to use it as a name for a potential character in my third novel. I love it so much, I used it as my MySpace screen name. In fact I love it so much I thought of naming my daughter using that name. Never did I thought a celebrity would name their child after such a rare name until Bennifer.
This somewhat mad blog of mine sounds so fatuous. But hey, I need to let it out.
