Amateur Designer

I bought a new pair shoes I got a new attitude when i walk 'Cause I'm so over you And it's all about tonight So due to the overwhelming response of my Raya In Style video, I was inspired to draw some Raya designs. I did not completely follow the current baju kurung trends that I mentioned in the video. I incorporated some elements like the color blocking trend and the unique sleeves. But mostly I put trends that I like and incorporated them in baju kurung form. The first design I drew for a classy girl. The top is lace based and a corset with a peplum detail on the hips. I added a vertical line in the middle that extends down for a touch of that futuristic element. That shock of black kinda gives it some style with the traditional beige and light yellow. The second design is a straight short top baju kurung with a peplum design on the hips as well as the sleeve. I used one solid colour and used a lighter shade of pink for the peplum as a contrast . It...

Step It Up

Kind of like savage, Grab it and murder it with the art like blood on the canvas And its kinda impeccable how I spit it And get up of middle intricate patterns of a kick drum Wanna know the best part of watching any movie from the Step Up franchise ? Its the music baby.... Ever since the first one came out, I watched it, loved it and wanted every single song on it. That guitar riff from that Jamie Scott song in the first Step Up movie got me in a trance. It was my ringtone for a very long time. When the second one came out, I saw the trailer and had a glimpse of some of the songs. Therefore I had the whole album plus the unreleased tracks way before the movie came out in cinemas. I mean who could forget Enrique asking me to " push push back up on it " ? and that Timbaland track they had on during the last dance scene in the rain? Sick.... A majority of the Step Up songs on my Itunes comes from the third installment, Step Up 3D. The first song that caught...

Take Care of Your Soul

Losing your soul, will cost you more Than the life you’re paying for In the spirit of soul singers that have been sprouting out beautifully in Europe, I came across an X Factor winner that mixes ironic truths with heavenly soul in her music. Rebecca Ferguson might be more famous for winning X Factor and for briefly dating boyband rebel, Zayn Malik . Well that was how I discovered her. I was into One Direction and stumbled upon this gossip. My new favorite soul songstress, Rebecca Ferguson. But her music was the one that struck me. My favorite song from her is this cheeky sarcastic soul tune called Glitter and Gold. The song is mostly about people striving for stardom, money and glamorous acceptance that they don't realize that its corrupting their souls. Plus they tend to forget their friends while they are climbing the steep road to the top. When I first heard it, it reminded me of my faculty . I'm not saying that Mass Communication students are entirely a bu...

Ignorance & Deceit Will Get You Nowhere

Now that it's over, there's nothin' else I want What have I done? Looks like I was wrong Is everythin' really meant to change? How come some people assume that trust is something that could be gained back easily ? "Oh i'll just apologize and everything will go back to normal." Motherfucker please, you lose my trust, sorry will only get you so far. For me, there are 2 kinds of people. People who I give obvious second chances due to our prolific friendship and those sad people who I don't expect anything from but if they wanna gain back my trust, they can try but it's gonna be slightly harder to do so. Second category of people from my personal experience are usually men . I like to address the problem if there is a problem and try to work it out like adults. But some people in this second category tend to abuse that trust, tend to lie to earn back trust and tend to easily dismiss certain horrific events that happen. I have met pe...

At Least I Got My Friends

They got my back until the end If I'll never fall in love again Well at least I got my friends  I have always been an independent person . I could never really rely on anyone and I grew up believing that in whatever you do, you're at it alone . Only recently, while partially living with my best friends that some things you don't have to endure alone. I thought if you were feeling disrupted due to a petty thing, there is no point in telling others because it will make them feel fucked up too. But one of my besties said "that if something was bothering you, no matter how insignificant it may seem, if its important to you, its important to me too." I thought that was a logical and yet lovely thing to say. If you have good companions that loves  you, they should be there for you no matter what. Same way I would do for my friends. I wouldn't want them to go through something bad by themselves. But there are times when I am there listening to my fri...

A Spidey Analysis

Steal my heart and hold my tongue. I feel my time, my time has come.   Warning, this post may contain some spoilers on the movie, The Amazing Spiderman by Marc Webb.  Where is the direction of today’s post going? Well its starts with a Marvel comic turned movie which I had the joy of watching as an exam ending celebration. Honestly blogging, I wanted to see the movie for the sole purpose of watching Andrew Garfield jumping around in a tight suit. Plus I like Emma Stone and I have always had a sense of happiness to watch comic action movies.  So exam mode temporarily on for the comparison of themes between The Amazing Spiderman directed by Marc Webb and Spiderman by Brett Ratner.  Authority vs Media So in the first Spiderman movie, the media or to be precise the newspaper, The Daily Bugle was the medium that perceived Spiderman as a no good scumbag who was working with the Green Goblin. It was the media that perceived him as bad. While in t...
