Misery, Movies and Muscles

I'm addicted to Pixie Lott's music So I got sick on Thursday. Don't worry, I doubt its H1N1. I walked around campus looking like a sick dog. Plus the stress from KAKOM training is not helping me at all. On Friday morning, I was a little better. Rebel wore a red baju melayu that day with kain pelekat and all. He looked absolutely adorable especially when he said Assalamualaikum to me. It made my morning a little bit sunnier. But by 11, I could feel the sickness coming back to me.  A couple of days ago, Transformers 2 was officially in cinemas. When I logged into my facebook, almost everyone posted about how awesome that movie is. That night, the envy of not watching that movie was pumping through my blood system as fast as the oxygen. I'm so going to watch it the minute I step into KL soil this Friday evening. Maybe I'll go see it at the Imax teater! On Saturday, my college held a cross country race. I ran with a flag because I'll be representing the college ...

Boy Dictionary

PMS plus stress is not a good combination My public speaking training continued yesterday. Can you believe my practice ended at 6.50pm? Now apart from just executing a speech, I have to add facial expressions. This is so hard.  Okay, yesterday I stumbled yet another discovery about men. I was sitting with Adi and Teddy. Then Hafiz came along to join the conversation. Honestly, Hafiz is not close to me. I know him cause he's Naz's best friend. He's quite shy around girls even though his social life among men is very impressive.  Anyway since I was talking to Teddy in english, Hafiz attempted to talk in english when he needed to reply a question or something. I found his attempt so cute. Dah la he was wearing a songkok that night, so adorable. This is what I said to him. Shana: You nampak so comel la Hafiz tonight with your songkok and all..... Hafiz: Aduh..... dia kata aku comel.... (in a depressing tone while putting his hand over his mouth) That was like the second time I...

My Adoration

Stressful days and soothing men So this past week has been a stressful one. I've started training for public speaking and seriously it's no joke. After class, I go to the English unit and get drilled by teacher for the next 2 and half hours. They give me topic after topic and I need to come up with a full blown speech. Seriously, impromptu speech is harder than you think. I needed factual points from an intellectual person due to the internet close down at KMM. So I had an appointment with Teddy (code name). He picked the most inappropiate place to have a discussion which is the basketball court he was training on. So the conversation would be me asking him questions and him answering them while running around court and shooting the ball into the hoop. It was definitely the most interesting way of conversating with someone. Plus it didn't help that Teddy's teammates were awesome players with well define muscles. Honestly the sight of them, their sleeves rolled up to...

Laugh Away The Rumors

So so so scandalous! Ok, new discovery! After adapting to college life in KMM which include mixing around with the opposite sex, I have made an unsual discovery about myself. The truth is, apart from the ABGs of KMM, I actually prefer to hangout with the boys compared to the girls.  After spending 11 years in an all girls school, I never thought I would be able to socialize with men. I mean throughout my high school years, the amount of guy friends that I had were countable with your fingers. Now in KMM, the amount of guy friends that I have exceed my girl friends. And this startling conclusion seems extremely odd to me but at the same time I kinda like it.  I mean, hanging out with the guys is way different than hanging out with the girls. Honestly, they're not many girls at KMM I can truly be myself with. Ilda, Tiara, Izzati and Tiqa do not include in the " many girls of KMM " cause they are ABGs like me. Without a doubt, I am truly myself when I'm with them. Tha...

I Heart KL

Breathing in pulluted air is bad for my lungs but its good for my sanity So I went back to KL last weekend. Finally. I didn't get to go back with Adi like we planned but it was alright. He apologized to me just now with that sincere shy smile of his and everything is cool. Mind you, I took the bus back to KL and who knew that my warak sayang would be joining me as the girls lust over him like he's a roman god. (Shana's shakes her head from side to side) When I got to KL, I got a good complaining session from my dad in the topics of the hot weather and bad traffic of KL. My sister was at my mum's house so I had no one to talk to while I was at my grandma's house. I played with the MAC and indulged in the decadence of hot water. I didn't get to watch TV cause my dad was watching a documentary. On Saturday I accompanied my grandma to Karyaneka where I got to see Yuna perform. Then I went nuts at Cold Storage, grabbing every imported food item I craved and threw...

First Question

Men's faithfulness towards God is a very facinating subject  So call me crazy but the first question I ask a guy here in KMM is "You warak ke?"  Seriously, that is a crucial question when I'm making friends with a guy. Why do I ask such an unusual question? It is because I have the tendency to touch people. Whether its a pat on the back, a nudge to the arm or the simple gesture of leaning my elbow against their broad shoulders, touching is normal to me. In my opinion, physical contact brings people together. But as we learned in religious studies, touching between men and women who are not related is strictly prohibited. This religious law is taken seriously among some of the people here in KMM. So I ask this question to the male species to prevent the spilling of sins. Get it?  So today I decided to be bold and talk to this guy who I find facinating. He wasn't listed in the KMM eye candy blog because I just found out how facinating he is last week. His code nam...

Stress Relievers in a City by the Sea

Shopping relieves stress. Take my word for it. So last weekend, dad had to go to Johor for work and decided to take me along for a roadtrip with my sister. So yes, I didn't get to go back to KL and deeply inhale its polluted atmosphere. But hey, my dad and sister always bring adventure along, so I wasn't that doleful. At JB, we got lost, we mall hopped and I helped count stock at the Tanamera store at Metrojaya. I assumed that the pricing in JB would be as immense as KL because some of my practicum mates who are from JB told me so. But when I went to City Square and saw the low pricing, I went bonkers . I really did. God, if only my debit card was in my hands, I would have soooooooooooo baught that cute Ralph Lauren canvas tote bag. But my dad baught me some stuff too. He baught me a couple of sweat pants, some polo shirts, some groceries and many more. I secretly baught these adorable black flats behind my dad's back cause if he knew that I splurged on another pair of ...
