So fuck who you want,
And fuck who you like,
Dance all night,
There's no end in sight.
So yeah finally results for UiTM students are out. Everyone was anxious and nervous as they wait for that crucial email to pop into their inbox. I felt it too though. I was just hoping that I don't have to repeat any subjects next semester.
I never considered myself as an over achiever. I've met and be friends with people who take every last point or decimal to the grave with them. You know those crazy people who cannot see an A- in a string of As. Those people who try to squeeze every last mark out of their carry marks.
I've always been an average student. Not those geniuses with photographic memory or the ones that can absorb and store information just by listening to the lectures only. I sort of calculated the subjects I'm gonna do well in and those that I can't. For the hard subjects, I'll try the best I can and just hope for the best. When I don't fail that difficult course, I consider it a miracle and move on.
But now once I got a taste of being one of the best last semester, that itch sort of follows through this semester. I kinda did not want to get anything less than what I got last semester. The GPA shall be maintained or grows higher. That was my goal.
Thankfully with the grace of God, my marks got higher and now I have this deep seeded urge to try to be the best among the best. It's a competitive thing which I learned vigorously after being compared to my genius cousins all my academic life and going to a Convent school where your level of IQ should match how fabulous you are in real life.
But you know what I'm most proud of? Its the fact that I'm living proof that if you study hard, you can play hard as well. Nothing wrong with diving in both. Its nice to look back and see that I had a fun semester, playing, partying and meeting new people. All while still managing to score some As :)
